Reading Material for the Upcoming Week 100911

We know about weak job creation this year but this blog post from the Atlanta Federal Reserve puts a very sobering spin on the unemployment numbers.  If current trends hold, look for 9% unemployment well into the future.

Not much needs to be said.  We lost one of the great minds this week.  As an aside, The Onion’s article was not so much funny as it may be true.

Now that the iPhone 4 and 3GS become the low end Apple phones it is interesting to see Google make this move for a number of reasons.  First, it signals their worry over a weak patent portfolio.  Second, I find it interesting that T-Mobile made the brief, not because they are the only mobile phone company without an Apple product but in context of their merger with Verizon.

This is a very good article from a tech security firm.  This is not what you are hearing from the press.  To date, this may be the best reporting on the OWS movement.
